Tom Sawyer's RV Park--Wonderful campground with easy access to the restaurants and nightlife in downtown Memphis. Located right on (and sometimes under) the Mighty Mississippi River--it can flood. One hundred level pull-through sites with full hook-ups (50-amp service).

Georgia has some beautiful parks and Skidaway Island is no exception. As seen in the photo, the lots are generously sized, most can be accessed as a pull-through, the price is reasonable, and you can’t beat the location.

Beautiful campground outside of Harrison, ID on Lake Coeur d’Alene. There is an upper and lower campground loop, with the lower loop having sites on the lake. Sites are well spaced, but not particularly level, and there are branches that must be trimmed to get into some of the spots. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.

One of the best camping spots we have ever discovered in this country. There are 14 designated camping spots; 12 are for RVs. Each is asphalt-covered and most will handle a big rig. Numbers one through seven back up to the Salmon River, where you can fish right behind your RV.

Louisiana
Tickfaw State Park, Springfield, LA
One of my favorite parks, this spacious campground offers necessary amenities plus tons of tranquility.
French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans
Let me start by saying that I am from Louisiana, lived there until I was in my 40’s, so I have spent MANY a day in New Orleans. I love the town, especially the food and culture. HOWEVER, I do not like getting ripped off as a tourist, paying over $100 a night for a small slab of concrete, brick, and grass.
